Medical Science Liaison / Refractive surgery and Diagnostics (f/m/d) 80-100%

Tasks

  • Serve as scientific peer-to-peer resource to external ophthalmology experts and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with physicians on medical affairs initiatives
  • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the ophthalmology community
  • Support medical information, literature surveillance, congress surveillance and related activities
  • Train internal and external stakeholders on key scientific and medical topics in relevant applications
  • Participate in the publication strategy and podium power through peer-to-peer communications on the product portfolio
  • Support the development of new data through exploratory and confirmatory investigator initiated studies
  • Contribute to expand clinical research, educational grants, medical advisory boards, ensuring ethical and science based product education materials and communications for healthcare providers

Profile

  • PhD or Master degree in natural sciences, laser physics or bioengineering with 4 years’ experience in medical, scientific or clinical affairs in medical device industry or MD degree with two years’ experience in medical device industry
  • Knowledge in refractive surgery planning, cornea imaging and ocular diagnostics experience
  • Understanding of the peer-reviewed publication system. Proven track record of scientific or medical writing, able to prepare and present scientific talks to professional audiences
  • Experience In biomedical statistics
  • Team player with a high willingness to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to travel approximately 30 – 40 %
  • Fluent English (C1/c2), good communication skills in German are an advantage
