In this responsible role, you will support our production team in the professional assembly and testing of our laser systems. Working in a small team, you will independently assemble technically sophisticated handpieces as a key component of our complex high-tech femtosecond laser systems, including testing and active contribution to the continuous improvement process. After successful onboarding, there is also the opportunity to take over the role as a teamleader for handpiece production.

Medical Device Assembly Specialist (Option Team Lead)
  • Assembly of complete handpieces (subassemblies, peripherals, etc.) in accordance with defined process instructions
  • Testing of mechanical, optical, and electronic components as well as software
  • Performing final inspections in compliance with quality requirements
  • Proactive contribution to the continuous optimization of assembly processes
  • Participation in complex problem-solving in collaboration with other specialists
  • Option: Assumption of team leadership, including supervision, support, and development of 2–3 direct reports, as well as coordination with the Director of Production

  • Technical vocational training as a watchmaker, electronics technician, automation technician, electromechanical technician, or similar
  • Solid knowledge in assembly, adjustment/alignment, electrical and electronic systems; ideally experience in assembling precision mechanical components
  • Confident use of MS Office; knowledge of Excel-based technical software is an advantage
  • Strong quality awareness, manual dexterity, and a precise, accurate working style
  • High level of initiative, perseverance, and flexibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork as well as cross-functional collaboration
  • Fluency in German (written and spoken); English and French are an advantage
