In this exciting and responsible position, you will be the face of Ziemer to customers throughout the LATAM region. You support and manage our Latin American distributors and ensure accurate, continuous and complete transfer of knowledge (commercial, technical, application) from the headquarter to distributor staff. You also ensure continous focus in increasing market share for consumables.

Tasks

  • Propose and implement strategy to ensure healthy and sustainable business growth in assigned countries in coordination with the headquarters
  • Manage the quotation process through to closing the sale in close cooperation with distributors and headquarters
  • Assist the distributor(s) with the sell-out activities to key clients 
  • Regular direct communication with distributor(s) to create common understanding and to coordinate market actions
  • Collect, verify, and report first-hand market information 
  • Help setting sales target and negotiate sales agreements with distributors
  • Regular contacts with clients to get feedback and provide the right support in time
  • Build and maintain a strong network of regional KOLs
  • Documentation and reporting of your activities
  • Collaboration with colleagues in Marketing and Service

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, marketing in the ophthalmic medical devices industry, ideally with FEMTO laser ophthalmic surgery devices manufacturers or national distributors, ideally also experience working cross-functionally and with European companies
  • Good understanding of regulatory affairs, import & export processes
  • Proven records of initiative, independence, and high sense of responsibility
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills, ideally understanding Latin American & European cultures
  • Advanced MS-Office skills
  • English, Spanish, and Portuguese (fluency in speaking & writing)
  • Travelling up to 50% within Latin America, if needed globally
